Mama's craftiness!

Here is a picture of two diaper covers I just sewed, and an accompanying doubler (two layers of old towel and some cute flannel). I am so proud of myself for figuring this out!!! I actually made these for my dearest friend Annie, who is due with her first baby (a boy!) in June. Unfortunately Annie lives far away in Colorado, and her showers are in Iowa this weekend, and both of these places are too far away for me to attend. This always happens to us... she and her husband Luke got married the weekend after Jarod and I did, only they were in Iowa and we were in Oregon. Anyway, she is doing cloth diapers, and she hasn't received too many off her registry. I've been wanting to make stuffable or all-in-one diapers for awhile, so her baby has given me the perfect opportunity! Now I want to make a ton more, and maybe try to sell them. We'll see... Chou-chou will hopefully be attending a 2s program in the fall at our church preschool, and I'm looking forward to a couple hours to do a zillion things!! I am not generally a very detail-oriented person, but I am always bursting with creativity and the need to make things, so I am quite satisfied with how these turned out... not too many blemishes or flaws. Anyway, yay for cloth diapers and making stuff!!
