Chou-chou has been attempting to climb out of his crib for several days now, and it's got me pretty worried that our crib days are numbered. We will want to upgrade his bed before anything happens to him, of course, but I wish he weren't ready to graduate just yet. We've got an addition planned on the house, and we were hoping Chou-chou would be okay in his baby room until we upgraded to our master bedroom. We were hoping to have a rotation of rooms, and Chou-chou making big efforts to climb out of his crib throws a wrench into my decorating (and storage) plans!! I think we might have to take the rail off his crib and put a baby gate on his door (but we'll have to get a super duper one that he can't climb over).
Chou-chou is such a strong little guy, and he loves to climb. On Friday, we went to the Family Friday evening at the Southwest Community Center. As they do for indoor park, they'd set up all the ride-ons and balls, the mats and the gym equipment. They also opened up the rock climbing wall, though, and this was a hit with this here 18-month-old! He need a butt boost, of course, but he was all over it! Pretty funny, and testament to just how much he loves to climb.
