Coincidence or...?

So Sunday, the day after I posted about his large lung capacity, Chou-chou began yelling just to see our reaction. It's pretty cute, for the first five or ten minutes that he does it. What's neat is that he's experimenting with his voice and, at the same time, learning about cause and effect. He's realizing that he has power over his parents... uh-oh!:) He smiles while he yells, with this ever-so-mischieveous turn of the lip. I'm scared for when he's two (j/k, sorta)!

One other cute thing that I haven't mentioned is that Chou-chou has been "in charge" of his tettine/paci for awhile now. This means he yanks it out with Maggie Simpson authority for fun or when he wants to nurse (a pretty impressive "nursing cue" in my opinion), and he does his best to stick it back in his mouth, too. Thing is, manipulating the tettine is quite tricky and he usually ends up biting the pastic part, dropping it, and hilariously diving for it with his whole head at the same time. His hands are so clumsy and adorably fat, plus he's not even five months old... I wish you could all see his head/mouth dive to catch the falling tettine. It is a sight! So Jarod noticed that he successfully managed to reinsert the tettine for the first time while in the car on Saturday. I thought I should blog about this cuteness before he's mastered tettine hand-eye coordination entirely. Way to go, Chou-chou!
