More baby-book details

As I'm sitting here reading over my mom's extensive notes in my own baby book, I feel I have to record more for Chou-chou's online baby book here. I don't want to forget!! Although I'm sure this isn't as interesting for those of you reading, I've got to get a few more things down "on paper" here for the sake of Chou-chou's records.
- Chou-chou has held himself upright in a sitting position for a few seconds at a time, starting just yesterday (~20 weeks).
- At his 4-month appointment, he was 17 lbs. exactly (80th percentile), and 25 3/4 inches long (75th percentile), so he's getting longer and less chubby (At his 2 month he was 95th for weight and 50th for length).
- Chou-chou will hang out for quite a long time just doing the "airplane" on his tummy... maybe 15-20 minutes or so.
-His sleep is becoming a bit more predictable, and just this morning he consolidated his early morning and late morning naps into one, longer nap (2 1/2 hrs.). And all of it in his Amby!!! He doesn't usually fuss when we put him to sleep in his Amby and he lies there content now when we swaddle him. If he does fuss when we put him down, putting your cheek against his usually does the trick.
- He has started looking out the window while in the car over just the last couple days. He's happy just hanging out for rides most of the time now.
- Also in the last week (it just keeps getting better and better!), Chou-chou has started trying to grab at my cup while I'm drinking and holding him. Today at baby group I put my paper cup to his mouth to see how he'd react, and he followed the drill as I tipped a little bit. Eating is just around the corner it seems (~6 months)!
- He stayed awake for a whole three hours today after his long nap, and was relatively happy for 2.75 of those! Even so, the "fussy" .25 hours was nothing compared to what it used to be. It seems like since his tummy has felt better, he's more AWAKE in general, and isn't always trying to drift off into sleep.
- Anything else? I'm sure, but the only other thing coming to mind is that he was totally taken by this big toy truck at baby group today. I think we're going to have to get him one. And YES, I would totally get a daughter a truck too!!!
