Chou-chou is newly obsessed with bubbles! And his latest word is "bubba", for bubbles, which is a way cooler word than the French "bulles". That's the only thing I can figure since he's only really heard "bubbles" at tiny tots story time. Talk about a high-motivation word for a toddler, though! I must admit that bubbles are pretty cool and I can only imagine how amazing they must seem to a baby (or a cat for that matter, since Zoe gets really into chasing them too). We've been pulling them out four or five times a day since I bought them about a week ago, and Chou-chou keeps asking for them "encore" with his new favorite sign. It's funny how when he learns a new sign, skill or word it's like he has tunnel vision for a couple days and really focuses on that.
Chou-chou is really walking all the time now, too, and looks so old in his new big boy Stride Rite shoes! The way he gets upset now when he doesn't get his way makes him seem a lot more toddler-esque too, though I'm not sure how welcome this big boy change is!
Indoor parks!! Gotta love 'em!! We went yesterday for the first time to an indoor park and it was a total blast, way worth the $2.50 we paid. They had like 20 ride-on toys, wagons and a big mat area with a slide, balance beam, trampolines, vault, hanging bar, and other cool stuff. I think we'll go all the time now, since it seems the sun has left us for good here in rainy Portland.

Bubbles will be your bestfriend for several years now. Just wait until he is not satisfied with you blowing them and wants to do it himself....MESSY! Bubble mower will also help him blow his own bubbles with limited mess. Where did you find an indoor park?
