18-month check-up

We just got home from Chou-chou's check-up, and all is well. He is developing just fine and dandy, as we knew. He weighs 24 lbs.10 oz. (35th percentile), he is 32 3/4 inches tall (~50th percentile), and his head is 44.1cm in diameter (75th percentile... down from 90th!). He got his MMR shot today, and we're waiting a month for the other two he was scheduled to get. He has been in the best mood ever since he woke up from his nap yesterday afternoon, so I was a little sad to potentially ruin this happy streak with a shot, but oh well. Hopefully his body will handy it all just fine and we'll be fever and fussy free this afternoon when he wakes up. Since it's been SSSOOOOOOOO nice out the past three days, I was thinking we ought to go to the zoo when Jarod gets off. My thinking is that the animals might ward off any potential fussiness... distraction is key!

In other news, Daddy got a truck last night!!! He is, of course, on cloud nine about it, and had to drive it to work today (although the agreement is that it's not a comuter truck... we'll see about that;). It's not the prettiest to look at, but he doesn't care about that. I finally agreed that it was probably a necessity for all our house projects, and I have to admit that I like Jarod in truck:) He had a red Toyota when we met, so seeing him in his pickup makes me all nostalgic. Aww.. I'll post pictures of it later.
