Here is Chou-chou in his mama-made costume at our mom's group Halloween party this morning. Most of the kids were in costume and were too cute! We had tried Chou-chou's costume on last night and Jarod had a good point about why it's so fun to dress up babies in costume: they don't know they're wearing a costume and can look so serious, which just makes the whole thing funnier. Of course it's hard to take them seriously when they're a chicken, or dinosaur, or butterfly! Chou-chou's chicken costume originally had a feather boa on it, but he vetoed it by screaming and pulling the feathers off. After a last-minute trip to Michael's yesterday we managed to come to a compromise, and surprisingly he doesn't mind wearing this ridiculous thing around!
Anyway, we've got some fun Halloween events lined up this week with our baby and mama friends and hope to really get some mileage out of the costume. I'm hoping we can actually trick-or-treat this year, cause I'm counting on some candy!!

I think R's chicken costume is probably the cutest thing that I have seen in a long time! If I had any talent at all, I would try to make something like that next year for Odessa.
That is the CUTEST thing ever! Wish I could have seen it in person. I totally get what you said about them being dressed up but oblivious, that is the best part, like when Maddy has her clothes on backwards but is so serious about life, it is hard not to laugh.
