Chou-chou is now into waving at strangers in public. It's really cute! He'll even wave at pictures of people, and just this morning he waved to the outside when I opened up the blinds... maybe it was to the birds?? So he's becoming aware of his ability to interract and communicate with others and get their attention and smiles. Our little flirt has re-appeared! I'm sure we'll enter another shy stage in due time, but this is fun for now.
Chou-chou also has a new game where we set him on his feet and he stands for as long as he can and we all get excited, and then he falls into our arms. I think his record is about 20 seconds, but usually it's more like 4 or 5 seconds at a time. Still now interest in walking, but the standing is fun because you can see he feels so proud and in awe of himself. Big boy Chou-chou!
Currently, Granny arrived from Colorado last night and Chou-chou has had a record high fever and flu-like symptoms. He woke up with a 104.2 temp this morning at 5am, just in time to greet Granny:( We're obviously laying low today and I really hope he feels more chipper tomorrow so we can get out with Granny. She hasn't seen him since Christmas (when he was like 3 months), so this is a whole new Chou-chou to her. And of course, it's like he's meeting her for the first time... yucky summer sickness...
A couple recent photos are attached.

Such great pictures -- his smile in the photos is so uniquely R. Does that make sense? Just so cute!
