My son is obsessed with Cheerios!

Chou-chou will only eat cheerios for me the last two days! What is going on?! He LOVES them, obviously, but he used to love lots of things, not just cheerios. He'll eat three or four bites of something else for Daddy, but not for me. A friend told me that for awhile around this age she had to put a cheerio in the middle of a bite of baby food in order for her daughter to open up. I tried that, but nope! There's no fooling him, apparently. We've switched to the no-sugar no-salt kind that cost ( choke, cough, cry) $4.69 a box!! No Mommy or Daddy-sized bowls of those Os- they're for Chou-chou only.
I'm hoping this is just related to being sick and on antibiotics (yes, we went the antibiotic route after spiking a 102.8 fever and the ped telling us the infection had worsened quite a bit), which really do a number on Chou-chou's tummy, bowels, and leave him with a nasty, painful diaper rash. If we're still on a pretty strict cheerio diet in another week, I don't know what we'll do... pull out the chocolate cake?!

Maddy went through a phase where she ate eleventy-thousand cheerios a day and nothing else, it was when she was getting her molars. It is pretty common. Plus, they are kind of tasty when you are in a mindless snacking kind of mood - we used to veg out together on them when she was a young toddler.
